Book Discussion Panel

In recognition of Black History Month

A panel consisting of Wilda Good Wine, William Vaughan, and Verne Leininger will discuss the book Slavery – When Humans Were Sold As Chattel by 20th century historian William Good.

Good’s research has located many of the Black cemeteries in Plains District following the Civil War and has identified families- both enslaved people and freedmen- buried there.
